About Us

Get to know more about what makes us different.

Kingdom Life Church began in December 2008 as a small Bible study with just three people, meeting in the old music room at Woodcreek Elementary School in Lansing, Michigan. Within six months, our group grew to fifteen, prompting a move to Immanuel Baptist Church at 4303 S. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

As our Bible study flourished, we welcomed 35 regular members, leading to the official launch of Kingdom Life Church on March 7, 2010. Immanuel Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist congregation established in the early 1960s, recognized our growth and the Lord’s work in our community. With their church aging and seeking renewed impact, interim pastor Chuck Turner proposed merging the two congregations.

After a celebratory mortgage-burning service, Immanuel Baptist Church and Kingdom LifeChurch became one family under the leadership of Pastor Bouyer in September 2012, adding 24 new members.

Today, Kingdom Life Church is a vibrant, multi-cultural, and multi-generational community with approximately 115 members and attendees. We are committed to serving the Lord, our community, and fulfilling God’s command to make disciples and advance His Kingdom. Our church is a welcoming family, embracing the broken, the hurting, and those distant from God. We strive to create an inviting, intentional, educational, and proactive environment, preparing for the abundant blessings God has for us.

We intentionally exist as a body of believers that reflects the diversity of God’s Kingdom,
practicing on earth the worship we will share for eternity in heaven.
