BABY DEDICATION
There’s an old African proverb stating, “it takes a village to raise a child.”
As parents, being a part of a loving church family, can help you as you raise your children in the ways of the Lord.
Baby Dedications are viewed as confirmation between the parents and the church to raise the child in a Godly way and not a baptism.
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- IS DEDICATION THE SAME AS INFANT BAPTISM OR CHRISTENING?
- A baby or child dedication is different from infant baptism or christening. While these rites are significant for a variety of faiths, it is the practice of Kingdom Life Church to dedicate children. KLC believes baptism is for those who have made a personal decision to trust Christ alone for their salvation, once they have the maturity and ability to understand what that means.
- WHEN / WHERE AE BABY DEDICATIONS PERFORMED?
- Baby dedication ceremonies are typically scheduled (4) weeks out on any Sunday except the first (1) Sunday of each month which are reserved for Communion. Ceremonies are performed around 11:30am during service. Exceptions are handled on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Senior Pastor.
- IS THERE A FEE FOR BABY DEDICATIONS?
- NO. There is no fee for Baby Dedications at Kingdom Life Church.
- WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO THE CEREMONY
- This is a special day for your family, therefore we encourage you to dress appropriately for the event. Babies/ child should be dressed in what you believe looks cute on them.
